The foundation develops resources to empower our members in addressing work problems by building online communities around specific work issues on our Empowerment Website.
The Empowerment Website categorises work problems in three key areas:
- Work issues that stop you from enjoying
your current work
- Work issues that you face in finding a new job
- Work issues that you face in making a career change
Each work problem online community will consist of:
- Members – who will interact with each other via the members forum to discuss:
- the key issues that they have in this area; the kinds of solutions that they are looking for
- feedback on the effectiveness of resources that have been provided
- their own success stories
and best practices
- other resources (books, websites, organisations, articles, courses etc) they have found that help them solve work issues they
have faced
- Contributors – who will interact with each other
via the contributors forum to:
- discuss best possible range of resources that will empower members
in this area
- collaborate to create the most effective resources; provide feedback to direct questions from the members community (to be developed
into FAQs)

Self generating resources: Each work issue community that we launch on our Empowerment Website will be facilitated by a work topic leader. Once a work issue community has been launched, our assigned work topic leader facilitates the community to develop a variety of resources on an on-going basis (interviews, best practices, conversations, surveys, FAQs, forums). As each work issue community matures and evolves, the range of resources available to members increases in depth and richness.
Expansion of resources: The foundation will be continually launching new work topics on the Empowerment Website. We work with our website members to identify new work topics that they would like to be covered and prioritise the launch of these topics. The number of work problems addressed will increase as organisational resources allow. |

Our philosophy is to be solutions orientated organisation. We seek to concentrate on solutions to work problems rather than simply explore why the problems exist. Our Empowerment Conferences bring together organisations and individuals to work collaboratively to explore solutions to significant work issues. It is expected that our Empowerment Conferences will be a rich source of active working groups whose members will span a eclectic range of organisations and individuals, bringing a wide variety of perspectives to the work of each group. |

In our Empowerment Projects, the foundation collaborates with partners to develop resources and programmes addressing key empowerment issues in the workplace. We work with our partners to develop and pilot resources and programmes, rolling them out nationally to all affected community members. We work with our collaboration partners to raise funding and get buy-in for each of our community projects. |

We aim to empower individuals to proactively improve their own fun, freedom and fulfilment levels at work without waiting for their work environment to change.
However, we realise that educating employers in creating a supportive environment is a key lever in improving the wellbeing of individuals at work. In our Employer Empowerment service, we work with forward thinking organisations to develop and improve the work environment.
