  Projects Overview

The foundation will develop Empowerment Projects for work empowerment issues that require collaborative solutions.

In each project, we work with a range of collaborative partners to develop, fund and roll-out programmes nationally to target work community members.

The foundation will select projects based on the following criteria:

  • Highly engaged collaborative partners
  • Potential to impact on a work community
    on a national basis
  • Involve simple programmes that can be rolled out
in a modular basis to target the work community
  • Strong business model to ensure the sustainability
    of projects

  Graduate Programme

Our 2007 project...
Graduate Employability Programme

The Graduate Employability Programme is a unique peer mentoring programme being developed by Energize and The Work Empowerment Foundation to empower university students in their first jobs.

This programme is specifically aimed at addressing the skills gap highlighted by employers by transferring appropriate skills from working graduates to university students. The students then consolidate their learning by transferring their new skills to local community groups.

Our vision is to develop an effective and easy to implement programme that any UK based university can run. The long term target of the project is to develop a sustainable programme that will be largely funded by participating employers in order to encourage the uptake of the programme on a national basis.
