Hina Patel – Founder & Director
Hina founded the Work Empowerment Foundation in 2006 to meet the need that she saw in the empowerment market. She is also the director of Creating Results from Vision, a consultancy specialising in developing effective social and commercial collaborations.
Hina previously work for A.T.Kearney as a management consultant and for Bechtel as a chartered Chemical Engineer. |

Ian Nixey – Employer Empowerment Director
Ian Nixey is a team building and management development specialist with over 15 years experience of development and change activities with directors, managers and work teams in a wide range of organisations, both public and private sector.
Ian has studied widely including the Tavistock Institute and an Anglo-Swedish exchange programme. He has an MBA from Cranfield and is an Associate Professor at an American University.

Frank Walsh – Web Project Manager
Frank is the expert behind the foundation’s online services and is supporting the team. He has worked for a variety of not-for-profit, charitable and educational establishments.
He is currently working with a leading London university.

Jenny Athanasiadou – Web Development Support
Jenny’s volunteer work has been invaluable to the foundation start-up. She has created the foundation’s logo, and she is also responsible for the website look, feel and balance. Jenny currently works as a development and graphics designer for a leading management consultancy.

Ze Zook – Asset Development Manager
Ze is supporting the foundation to plan the development of its assets. Ze is currently a marketing and new media lecturer at London Metropolitan University having previously spent over 5 years developing e-Learning programmes, some now currently used by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

Arvind Devalia – Contributor Development Manager
Arvind is currently supporting the team to develop the contributor services on the Empowerment Website. Arvind is a leading life and performance coach, public speaker and prolific writer. He is based in Central London. He is author of "Get the Life you Love and Live it", published in January 2006. His first book "Get a Life" was published in 2003. PEOPLE are Arvind’s passion - his ultimate passion, and he is committed to a life of contribution, connection and celebration.

Dave Myers – Business Development Support
David is passionate about empowering individuals in the workplace and has been supporting the foundation with the development of its proposition and business plan. He has worked with Pilkington, Mars, RHM, and Mitchells and Butlers in commercial, operational and strategic development roles. In 2004, David joined Alias Hotels as Managing Director where he grew the business considerably, before overseeing the trade sale to new owners in November 2006.

Dave Sharman – Work Topic Development Manager
Dave is leading the website’s first empowerment topic “How to be more creative and innovative at work”. Dave Sharman MA, MSc FCIPD works as an independent human resource management consultant in teamwork, personal development and environmental awareness in organisations. He was a part-time tutor for the module on Creativity and Innovation on the Open University Business School MBA. He has also worked as an associate on the Brunel University Environmental Management programme. He has a first degree in history and a masters degree from Bath University in management. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development; and a volunteer director at The Woodlands Farm Trust. In his spare time he enjoys travel in Europe and relaxing in a caravan in Hastings.

Steve Moore – Partner from Policy Unplugged
Steve is the founder and director of Policy Unplugged. He developed Policy Unplugged in 2005 to explore new ways of enabling people to connect, converse, share and collaborate both online and face-to-face. Out of this emerged the beta tested Policy Unplugged Social Conference. Thousands of people have attended Policy Unplugged events and they like them so much, Steve is going to do more of them and make them better!

Keith Williams – Partner from Energize Solutions
Keith is a Director of Energize and has 24 years consulting experience with leading Management Consulting firms. He was formerly a Vice President of A.T.Kearney, responsible for their European Transformation practice. He specialises in coaching senior management teams through successful change. Keith has led many change programmes in the private and public sectors and his clients have included BT, Ford, Philips, Rolls-Royce, EDS in the private sector and the MoD, DWP, DTI and Northamptonshire County Council in the public sector.
